Westcoast Energy maps a broad reorganization plan
Westcoast Energy announces a major restructuring of its Pipeline and Field Service Divisions in British Columbia and Alberta. About 300 jobs will be cut over the next year, with roughly half in Vancouver and the rest across Chetwynd Fort St. John Fort Nelson and Prince George. Senior management cuts drop two tiers from 26 to 18. Some functions shift from Vancouver to Calgary and to field offices in Fort St. John and Prince George as the company seeks cost reductions amid a lower gas price environment and rising competition.
