Smoke detectors save lives after Chetwynd house fire
One person was taken to hospital after a house fire in the Rodeo Subdivision on 43 Street. Fire Chief Leo Sabulsky credited newly installed smoke detectors for the family’s escape and thanked the RCMP Ambulance Unit Fortis BC Hydro Emergency Social Services and others for prompt aid. No cause is released and residents are urged to check detectors regularly.
