Seniors brace for funding cut at BC Senior Games
Local seniors fear delays or cuts to the BC Senior Games direct access grant, part of a provincewide shortfall as organizers await 2009 funding from the BC Ministry of Housing and Social Development. The grant, usually $12,000 per Zone 12 yearly, funds travel and participation costs for Richmond events September 16 to 19. The province has not announced when or if the money will arrive.
