Foothills Yukon gas pipeline reviewed by panel
The Federal Environmental Assessment Panel completed a preliminary examination of Foothills Pipe Lines Yukon proposal to build a buried gas transmission pipeline across southern Yukon along the Alaska Highway for about 513 miles from Beaver Creek to the Yukon BC border. A possible lateral line would carry Canadian gas south. The project was referred to the Review Office on March 21, 1977 with an assessment panel chaired by Dr. H.M. Hill.

Wes Hudson Hope Chamber of Commerce with Fort St. John and Taylor Chambers will sponsor the Big Dam Canoe Race on Labor Day weekend September 4.
