Xstrata Coal Keen to Buy First Coal in CDN 1.75 Offer
Xstrata Coal proposes to acquire 100 percent of First Coal’s shares options and warrants for CDN 1.75 per share, valuing the company at about CDN 147 million. The offer follows a fairness opinion from KPMG and is to be completed by a plan of arrangement and takeover bid subject to conditions.
