Chetwynd Search and Rescue Builds Community Role
Chetwynd SAR, a volunteer emergency group founded about two years ago by Don Wheeler and Rick Treby, now fields twenty active members certified in SAR basics, first aid, radio, and survival. The team patrols areas to Gwilliam Lake and beyond, runs mock searches with North Peace SAR, seeks more volunteers, and supports local events with on site first aid and radio standby.
