Lions Charter Night in Chetwynd celebrates anniversary
The Chetwynd Lions and Lioness Clubs held a Charter Night on Saturday April 19 1986 at the Chetwynd Recreation Centre. Seated at the head table were Lions President Keith Robertson and wife, Lioness President Shirley Gill and husband, Charter Night Chairman and MC John Jackman and wife, Past District Governor Lynne Coulter and wife, with Zone attendees.

Climber Rescued After Four-Hoot RCMP Aid Pine Pass Incident
Police and fire crews responded to a trapped climber on a shale face about 100 feet up along Highway 97 at Pine Pass on April 23. David Roberts of Mackenzie was rescued after four hours, treated for hypothermia, and released the next day from Chetwynd Hospital.
