Hasler sulfur plant waits for gas expansion decision
Petrosul plant operations manager Randy Hill says Hasler pelletizing plant in Vancouver is maxed at 2000 tons daily and cannot increase output until gas producers decide. Expansion at Pine River or West Pine could double sulfur supply, with no new trucking expected. Eighty nine trucks daily currently haul sulfur from Taylor and mountain pipelines. Residents worry about traffic and processing volumes as plans progress.
