Dawson Creek school district debates 2011 2012 budget
School district No. 59 in Dawson Creek debated its 2011/2012 budget with questions over a high French immersion funding total. The plan includes 171000 for French language funding, 111325 to be allocated, and 85000 earmarked for Don Titus Elementary to address small class sizes in the Chetwynd immersion program. Vice-Chair Judy Clavier called the amount substantial while Superintendent Kathy Sawchuk noted prior parent commitments.
