Improvements announced for Peace River two projects in Chetwynd
The Ministry of Transportation will invest 43 million dollars over three years in Peace River Regional District highway work, including 660000 for right in right out lanes at Chetwynd Recreation Centre and a 1 kilometer repaving of Highway 97 near West Pine Quarry. The plan also covers widening and bridge work on Highway 2 and the twinning of 5.6 kilometers of Highway 25. The project aims to improve access to the recreation centre while coordinating with broader Highway 97 upgrades, with completion targeted for 2014.
