Mudslide Pushes Highway 29 Off Course In British Columbia
On April 15 1993 a mudslide between Hudsons Hope and Fort St John forced Highway 29 to close as the hill slid. Wes and Kathy McKnight witnessed bumps in the road and observers heard trees cracking while the road shifted. John Clark North Peace District Highways Manager noted no rush of traffic after the event.
