Chetwynd Silvertips Host Weekend Year End Hockey Tournament
The Chetwynd Silvertips hosted their annual year end hockey tournament at the Chetwynd Rec Centre with eight teams in oldtimer and rec divisions. Moberly Lake Chiefs won the rec title with 3 wins and Tumbler Ridge Oldtimers went 3 and 0 in oldtimers. The Silvertips earned a morale victory by beating Dawson Creek before grateful fans, organizers, and sponsors. Cal Havard organized the event with support from Home Hardware Promo Gear and All West Glass plus Rec Centre staff and concession volunteers.
