Council Questions Canada Post in Chetwynd Meeting

Canada Post regional rep Judy Carlson and Bob Otway joined Chetwynd council on March 29 to discuss the postal changeover. Residents of Moberly Lake urged support amid discontent with Canada Post’s "change or pay" policy and the lack of communication. Otway explained the national mode system, its financial basis, and enforcement duties. Council pressed for better notice and concessions, noting local support from Moberly Lakers enabled the post office and requesting leadership from Canada Post. Otway postponed action for two months to hold another meeting and address resident questions. The Moberly Lake Civic Committee thanked the council and chamber for backing the issue.
