Hudson's Hope road redesign aims to shorten last curves
Hudson's Hope administrator Bill Linday says the 1.7 kilometer curved segment west to the dam will be replaced by a new route that climbs a valley and rejoins Canyon Drive. The project, 70 percent complete, awaits ministerial approval with tenders planned for May and completion targeted for fall. Access to the look-out may require walking.

Minister defends park cuts amid ministry restructuring
Peace River's Joyce Murray in the provincial Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection defended cuts to park services saying 45 parks, three percent of use, accounted for 25 percent of subsidies and could not cover costs. The reductions, about 400 thousand dollars annually, target low use parks and may be temporary as groups show interest in maintenance without funding.
