A severe fire destroyed the large dwelling of Mr. Alex McInnis at Point Easant on a May afternoon. The blaze spread before notice, fuelled by a west gale, leaving no chance to save contents. Mr. McInnis suffered facial burns and required a doctor.
Local notices promote Brace's products including Royal Flour variants and quick drying finishes, plus fencing and fox netting. The section also advertises upcoming dances at Olympia Cabaret Summerside and a Women’s Institute event. Community notices mention dental office summer hours and traffic rules on Water Street.
Mr H T Colvin Opt of Summerside returns home from Western Canada to resume business. Mr Wesley Dingwell will haul cream by motor truck to Souris Creamery from Tuesday May 13 through several districts. Sunday services led by Rev J W Williams on May 11 include Montague 11 a.m Georgetown 2 45 p.m with special Mother's Day program Sturgeon 7 p.m. Boy Scouts will attend the morning service.
Marshfield on April 30 a letter from Mrs J F Ferguson and Mrs H Dennis of Central United Church expresses sincere sympathy to Mrs Mill. They comfort with faith in God and memories of a loving father and promise of reunion in Heaven.
