Summerside Methodist district appoints 1917 18 pastors

The Summerside district of the Methodist Church announces 1917 18 appointments. Rev. H C Rice leads Summerside and Bedeque, with Rev. G Ayers Tryon, Rev. G Morris Margate, Rev. L J Leard Granville, Rev. H S Young Bedford, Rev. E E Styles Alberton, Rev. R M Brodie Cape Wolfe and O Leary. Ayers chairs district. Rice is financial secretary. Young is Sunday School secretary. Styles is Conference secretary. Special welcome services set for July 8 at Summerside and Alberton.

Western Personal Notes From Island Communities

The Rev R Brodie of Maddock returns from Moncton. Miss Florrie Power of Emerald visits Summerside. Rev W J Domville of Montague visits his father at West Cape. Mr W E Brooks of Maddock returns from Moncton where he served as Cape Wolfe circuit delegate to the Methodist Conference. Mr Feliza Murphy of Freetown travels to Montreal’s Royal Victoria Hospital for surgery to remove a facial ulcerous growth. His friends wish him a speedy recovery and return to P E Island. Miss Katie Power, Massey Harris Co. stenographer, Charlottetown, rode the western train Saturday escorted by Mrs Martina McCloskey to Emerald to visit her parents.
