It advises a first year food crop and careful land management for heavier seed yields.
The Weekly News Letter of the United States Department of Agriculture notes that dipped lambs grow better and yield a heavier fleece. It states wool from dipped sheep should fetch two to three cents more per pound than undipped wool, with a series of demonstrations proceeding in the province.
Demonstrations are planned with every farmer within a reasonable distance to dip his icep next week. The dipping outfit will operate near Benshaw and New Haven with full details to follow.
