H L Handy, a major trout hatchery operator in Wareham Massachusetts, reports that introducing trout from Prince Edward Island has greatly improved his stock. He notes a pink tinge on the underparts of the fish and describes large inventories of 200000 trout. Feeding them requires four tons of meat weekly for the larger fish and liquid liver for the young at fingerling size.
The Presbyterian Summer School and Missionary Conference will be held at the Y M C A Grounds Canoe Cove from August 6 to 13 under the Prince Edward Island Presbytery. Ministers student catechists Sunday school superintendents teachers missionary workers and young people over sixteen are urged to attend. Rev W M Kannawin D D will direct. send names to Rev R Hensley Stavert Hunter River Clerk of Presbytery at earliest date.
London reports the Prince of Wales will join 11 000 pilgrims for the British Legion pilgrimage to France and Flanders in August with HQ at Lille. Distinguished attendees include Foch Petain Gourand Waygand Jellicoe and Countess Haig. A memorial service and parade at Ypres on August 8 marks opening and hundreds will travel to Somme battlefields.
Sir Austen Chamberlain told the House of Commons there would be no unnecessary delay in replying to the latest United States note on the anti war pledge. He said arrangements with the Dominions were not yet complete and further work was needed.
The Gladstone School annual examination on June 29 drew about twenty parents and visitors. Miss A Mabey led teachers and pupils through a strong showing of subjects followed by an excellent program with choruses recitations dialogues and songs. prizes awarded for attendance and a P S Certificate.

A wall cabinet for neckties collars buttons jewelry and a mirror was designed for the room.
