In Memoriam Elizabeth Jordan of Murray Harbor

Elizabeth Jordan died at 78 after a year of illness at Murray Harbor September 29. The funeral at Murray Harbor Methodist Church was led by Rev. Wr. Howard. Survived by her father, two sons, two daughters Mrs. Eliot Lumsden and Mrs. Henry Jordan, and grandchildren Edward Jordan professor at UBC and Joan Jordan A teaching in Chicago. Her life as a Christian and Bethany Church member was recalled with tributes to charity and kindness.

Bath of Agamemnon Alleged at Mycenae Discovery

British School of Archaeology reports a bank bath in the Acropolis palace at Mycenae, possibly the legendary bath of Agamemnon. Mycenae, ancient Greek city and seat of Agamemnon, was destroyed late in the second millennium BC. The bath, lined with red sheep and stepped sides, arose during 1886 palace excavations now fully cleared.

Tombs Unearthed with Long Entrance Passage

One tomb features an entrance passage nearly 100 feet long and six feet wide. The chamber within measures twenty one feet square and sits thirty feet below ground level. It is hoped the tombs contain articles of great historic value.
