Belgian Relief Fund Receives Wide Dairyman Contributions

The P I Dairymen report a large Belgian relief fund response including 14 boxes cheese from Cornwall Dairy, 11 from Kinkora, 21 from Orwell, and many others plus cash. Island dairymen contributed to a total of 3699.98 with leaders W H Aitken and D J Riley noting the sum from organizations such as The Crap and Creamery Company and The Dunk River Butter Factory. Total contributions reach 3,699.98 by Island dairymen with 100.00 from the Secretary-Treasurer noted.

Children With Dynamite Found In Toronto Ravine

About ninety sticks of 60 percent dynamite were found today near Danforth Avenue by several children. They were tossing the explosive around the streets until police removed it to a place of safety.

Hans Lody Plans Shown Of Vancouver Harbor

Windsor Jan 14 Hans Lody the executed German spy is said to have carried letters from his sister in Vancouver detailing plans of the Vancouver harbor and other British ports including Gibraltar and the Mediterranean. The note claims Lody was arrested at Gibraltar with harbor plans already in his possession linking a Vancouver company and a German count to missing business interests in Seattle and Vancouver.

Montreal January 14 Six weeks after Armand Pilon escaped from the Court House he returned to the city by train and was seated on a CPR car when two men new to him escorted him to Detective Headquarters. Pilon was handcuffed and jailed to await the Arrangment Course.
