Mr Winchester's sleigh struck Mr Cahill's seven year old horse. The shaft broke off. a long splinter pierced the chest near the shoulder blade, entering over a foot inside. Dr W G Church extracted the splinter. the horse bled little and was moved to a livery for recovery, with tetanus risk noted but not certain.
Mrs Dr McGrath of Newcastle attended the funeral of her father Dr Isadore Gallant in Bloomfield West Province. Mrs Joseph Kelly of Charlottetown traveled west last week to attend the funeral of her father in law, the late Pselsadore Gallant, held Thursday.
