The South Manchurian Railway reports Manchukuo sheep numbers at about 4.2 million head with exports rising from 1,000,000 to 6,500,000 in the 1920s–1930s. U.S. and China are main destinations for wool and wool products. Improved sheep types and wool processing aimed to boost production, but harsh winters, price factors, and peasant resistance hinder expansion. The railway and laboratories work to improve breeding. meat and mutton are secondary concerns. Wool is shipped to Japan, carded and sold as cashmere or camel wool.

Queensland trem ory Ltd buys three fourths stake in Brisbane Theatre Royal and adjoining buildings for about 15000 pounds with around 214000 pounds to be spent on improvements. Remaining shares sold by Peter Murphy estate and by B J O Shea. O Shea O Shea Cormer and Wacky retain a smaller stake as chairs of the Queens and Tart Club.
