Wool auction results highlight variable quality in May offerings
Under date of May 18 the Queenaland Primary Producers Co operative Association Limited reports about 10 000 men ordered in the double series of wool malles held in Brisbane. Of these 26 253 bales were offered in two extae fogues submitted by Primaries on 7 omard 18th Atay. The wool offered represented all weight classes with Central West and South-West predominating. Average to showy quality improved since March but many horn clips were very poor in condition. Vegetable taint marred many clips though some bright, dense, well scoured wool from the Centre and Northern districts was offered. Prices were low with Primaries catalogues paying 16d for superfine boece branded RN I/Ttiee/Aramac and 243d for scoured wool, highest price for double malles, including branded lots from Aramac and Mackinnay.
