Clerk's Monthly Review of Warveh Shire finances noted
Shire Clerk L O Easton prepared a report for the meeting on Wednesday outlining February bank balances and end of month council credit. It cites £746 credit, £1,369 in maintenance on main roads, and suggests £1,623 needed to keep accounts in credit to 30 June. It projects £2,000 expected from last year and flags possible rate increases if monthly expenses exceed £1,000. The Sanitary System at Argathella shows £34 monthly on eight months, with £132 needed next four months to hit budget. Morven shows £84 planned expenses with £76 9d needed for four months, assuming cleansing rates come in. White Systems at Angathella shows low expenses with a hoped-for year-end improvement. Council Dialog on Ward-Oakwood Road Loan
The chairman Dr W H Corbour notes the council already approved a loan for road works but has not yet succeeded. An overseer says the council should not overlook the road even if the loan is unavailable. The section will be reviewed in the next budget. Dr A C Little recalls travels in New South Wales and the Jolmberla-Charletille route where vast sums were spent, deeming it worse than any road he traveled.
