Charleville Blackall Rail Link Urged by United Graziers
Mr J F Meynink president of the United Graziers Association spoke before the Royal Commission on Public Works in Sydney advocating the Charleville Blackall railway. He described drought relief risks, stock movements and the need to connect Charleville to Blackall to move cattle sheep and horses from northern to southern Queensland pastures. The association urged rail over road to secure unloading points, reduce losses and support pastoral districts amid drought.
