Charleville Hospital Board debates keeping maternity and theatre, using old wards as a relief isolation facility until Augathetta hospital opens. Council urged to fund isolation wards, with talks to Mudmeh Shire Council on shared costs and a possible use of the present maternity ward for isolation purposes.
The Charleville Ambulance Brigade reported total travel 387 157 miles and treated 30 197 cases up to June 30 last year. It lists two Ford V8 ambulances with electric fans, stretchers, oxygen equipment, and districts led by T. W. Smith of Hostman, G. Webb of Babblears, Power of Bogareila, plus Manter and Silvio units. District representatives cover Langie Crossing, Wryandra, Bigrbank Cheepie, Quilpie, Adavale, Wade Zea, Milo Station, and Netine, with 21 years of yearly totals and a note of forthcoming hospital arrival.
