Verdict Against Council Over Employment Rights
A dated tribunal verdict condemns council action on employee wages and dismissal terms. It holds that casual staff receive standard or weekly pay and that two days notice is required for terminations. The decision references pipe laying work, notices of termination, and the burden of proof on the council to show proper notice was given, with penalties for noncompliance.
