Insurrection near Grenoble details from France

French papers describe an uprising near Grenoble with around 1000 to 1500 rebels from peasants, ex-soldiers, and dubious pieds-noirs led by poorly described officers. General Donnadieu commanded loyal forces and repelled attacks on a fort, with heavy casualties on both sides. The Grenoble court began proceedings, three rebels condemned to death, one pardoned, others acquitted as calm restored.
