Coroners Inquest Reports Death By Visitation Of God
A coroner's inquest at the King's Lead public house Westminster examined Thomas Castleton who died in Westminster Hospital after a throat injury. His daughter found him in a bloody state and the wound proved to be only a cut of the skin. Castleton, a widower with two infants, had behaved wildly in hospital and attacked a surgeon. Brain examination suggested a possible cause, but the jury returned a verdict of death by the visitation of God.
