Breen Tours District On Dominion Copper Plans

James Breen of the Dominion Copper company has been in the Rossland district moving between here and Phoenix. Land at Phoenix is platted and will be sold, with Dominion avenue lots from 750 to 1000 dollars. Rumors place the Great Northern depot on the Idaho claim and a reduction works site near Carson, but nothing authentic is confirmed.

Republic Bank and Boarding Houses Destroyed by Fire

A Friday fire at the Republic mine boarding house and bunk house destroyed both structures within an hour. Four miners slept in the bunk house. little was saved. Richard S. Davis ran the boarding house, with $1,000 insurance on his furniture and fixtures. Buildings were insured for $3,100. Ed Lowery saved a few items by entering burning rooms from outside.
