Home Makers Club Library Opening And Prize Day

The Home Makers Club held a library opening with an address by Mr. Greenway of the College of Agriculture Saskatoon and speeches by J D Robertson MP P, Miss Merrill sang a solo, and prizes for gardening and tennis were announced. Refreshments followed and prize cheques totaled 12.50 each. The Canova Homemakers Club announces a regular meeting for Saturday October 17 at 3 00 p.m. All are invited.

A special meeting of Canora Creamery Company shareholders is set for Saturday at 3:00 PM in the secretary’s office at the town hall to wind up the year’s finances and ensure full attendance. Famous Players at The Empire on Saturday

Empire Theatre announces The Famous Players in Soldiers of Fortune will show Saturday with stars Mary Pickford Jas O Neil Dustin Farnum and Owen Moore. Dustin Farnum stars in the lead five reel feature at Canova with no admission charge and reserved seats twenty five cents. A Yorkton Presbytery meeting is set for 8 30 p m in the Presbyterian church and Wm Johnston returns from Winnipeg.
