Town residents and visitors frequent the area with several arrivals departures and social notes. Walter McCarthy and Mrs. McGregor visit, Mrs Nap. Bureau visits from Winnipeg, and A G Graham returns from Cleveland and Chicago. A marriage announced Rev Percy Smith unites John and Alma Erickson on 22 1916.
The casualty list notes Malcolm McMillan known as Scotty of The Advertiser staff who was gassed at Langemarck and wounded then returned to trench duty. The piece also covers Saskatchewan Baptist Convention at Moose Jaw May 31 to June 5 with Dr George Cross as speaker and church leadership events. F W Schramm transfers from Yorkton to Theodore Saskatchewan as manager of Union Lawrence Sutherland. The 195th Battalion band will include new member G T P veteran left for Regina last Saturday. A patriotic aid event at Meredith home begins 3:30 PM. W E A Burpee plans enlistment in Saskatoon battalion soon. Mail service changes start Monday the 22nd with Canora to Tadmore runs on Tue Thu Sat. Office hours extend to 10 PM Saturdays. Halling Bakery offers Canora Pakery specials.

Town Council held a regular session at the Town Offices on May 17 1916 with Mayor Korbin presiding. Minutes were approved and accounts totaling 8.00 7.95 and 1.75 were authorized for payment. By law 141 for early shop closing and By law 115 for frontage assessments on Railway Ave were read a second and third time and passed. A reward of 50 was offered for evidence leading to conviction.
Rev Percy Smith releases the week schedule with services in Wexford at 3 p.m. and Canora at 7 90 p.m. Sunday School in Canora at 2 30 p.m. Epworth League gathering Friday at 8 p.m.

W A members aid in forming a Deanery Association. Margaret Smith spoke on Regina arrival and addressed Mrs R W Cumming. Deanery Association was formed with Canora delegates Meldanes Weir and Wilson and all clergy present.
The Regina Provincial Exhibition will run July 24 1916 with a total prize fund of 20000 open to livestock poultry butter grain vegetables flowers fruit school exhibits ladies work and art. New livestock sections invite amateur exhibitors and eight cash prizes are offered in several open classes.
The notice states the town assessment office for the year 1916 is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Judicial Day except Saturday. Ratepayers must file any claim or correction within the specified period. Dated May 1916. M. Sutherland.
