Canora Creamery Reports Strong Year Of Activity
From May 24 to Oct 30 1916 the Canora Creamery processed 84114 lbs of butter churned and paid out 619, outlays include salaries taxes insurance fuel advertising and sundries totaling modestly to support local industry. Butter sales reached 19449.69 with buttermilk at 194.35 and 2223.04 moved to the reserve account.

Masquerade Ball a Grand Success at Imperial Hotel
The Masquerade ball hosted by the Women's Patriotic Society at the Imperial Hotel last Friday drew a large crowd. Costumes were praised with Mrs. Reikie and Messrs Paul and Swaisland judging. supper followed around midnight and thanks were extended to many helpers and sponsors including Mr. E L Hayes for floor management. Notable attendees included Recruiting Sergeant P McNicholl and several soldiers from Wadena.
