Mrs. A P Johnson died at Waddell Hospital in Augusta HR Johnson and wife of Rev A P Johnson of Haas Sask She immigrated from Sweden at age seven and lived in Braham Minnesota later moving to Canada The family farmed near Hyas Canora She leaves two daughters five sons a sister in Hastings Minnesota and a large circle of friends Funeral from the Hyas home was well attended She was described as a devout Christian and held in high esteem

In Canora Sask, five foreigners from the north and south were arrested after a barroom brawl at the Canora Hotel on Monday afternoon. Geo Osadechuk Billy Marchuk K Winoyar Metro Wichicruk and George Homaviul faced Judge Reid Barschel and Hermanson with R W Cumming and J B McIntosh as counsel. The hearing spanned over four hours. Homavik was discharged while the others were fined $5 and costs with one month hard labor.
