Five Mishaps On Canberra Roads
A sequence of Canberra road incidents is recounted from late yesterday. Sears Stry chats of Hannilton Row Yarralumla and others were involved in a late night crash at Liversidge Street, with a vehicle leaving the road and sustained damage. Robin We Orwey of Herliser Cres Ainslie parked near a weighbridge at Suggs Quarry. a slope and embankment caused damage to both cars. John Hugh Gault of Ebden Street Amalie and Dr Thomas Hugh Trong of Duffy Street Atlase collided on Old Uriarra Road. both cars suffered major damage and Dr Trong received bruises before being treated. An ambulance crew member Peter John Kemp was involved in a separate collision near Warren with Karl Kristensen on Patroon Road, causing damage to the ambulance and vehicle. In Cumberland Street Causeway a collision between Rom Trepp and 6-year-old Peter Southwell occurred. the child was treated for shock at Canberra Community Hospital and discharged.

Wallboard Labor Dispute Settled by Conciliator
A dispute between the Plasterers' Union and Gyprock Canberra Co. over Gyprock wallboard was settled in a conference with Conciliator J Welbourne. The union argued plasterers only should fix it, and the firm agreed after assurance supply of plasterers within three weeks.
