In Sydney reports indicate J M Concannon, Labour leader in the Legislative Council, plans to resign as a protest within the party. He may contest a Legislative Assembly seat and could be chosen as leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party if his bid succeeds.
This afternoon Mr Lang gave notice of a censure motion to be moved tomorrow. The motion accuses the government of betrayal of unemployed, failure to restore white servants salaries, neglect to protect tenants with fair rents, apathy to closer settlement, and poor administration. The resolution would be communicated by address to the Governor. The House adjourned until tomorrow with a prolonged vote likely at the sitting.
New York reports Mr H Ekins one of three journalists hired by ScrippeHoward papers finished a world circumnavigation in 18 days 14 hours 56 minutes using only established transport methods. He arrived in New York on Tuesday as the first to complete the feat.

A luxurious Potts Point gaming house was raided by police last night. Twenty three people were taken to Darlinghurst Police Station and charged with being found in a common gaming house. Defendants faced charges of conducting the gaming house while others pleaded guilty and were fined.
