Victorian ALP expels member for criticising party

Melbourne reports that Mr J T Bennett secretary of the Victorian Council for Civil Liberties was expelled from the Labor Party by the Victorian ALP executive after he published articles accusing the party of being controlled by a secret communist influenced clique calling itself the Trade Unionists Defence Committee. Wounded villagers rescued in Vietnamese village airlift

Would-be thieves endanger kiosk as owner reports strange snake trap

Woman 21 drug addict gaoled for six months

Gina Ruszczynski 21 of Allwood Street Chifley was jailed for six months after pleading guilty to possessing and taking heroin.
