Germany launched its largest postwar battleship Soharn ahead of schedule in a ceremony attended by Hitler. The 26 000 ton vessel mounts nine 11 inch guns and signals Germany’s defiance of Versailles while symbolizing new naval strength at Wilhelm Haven.
