Suspected Typhoid Carrier Isolated Aboard Anglina Lauro
In Sydney a caterer aboard the liner Angelina Lauro was removed ashore and isolated at Prince Henry Hospital after a blood test indicated anomalies. Dr J M Crotty of the Commonwealth Department of Health travelled from Melbourne to Sydney aboard the ship. About 30 passengers underwent blood tests since arrival, with 17 later found to have the disease after Southampton berth on October 23. Two nurses, Eleanor Vaughan and Marjorie Milliner, were taken ashore with mild cases in Perth on Sunday. Passengers disembarked in Sydney as the liner received clearance to sail to New Zealand tonight.

German Spy Photog Gets Seven Years in Cologne
Heinz Suetterlin a 40 year old West German photographer was sentenced to seven years in Cologne after a 19 day trial for spying for the Soviet Union. He allegedly supplied the Kremlin with confidential Bonn Foreign Ministry documents. His wife Lenore known as Red Lore worked in the ministry and was arrested with him in October 1967 but hanged herself in her cell four days later.
