Defence reorganisation plan announced in House
The Minister for Defence Mr Townley unveiled a three year plan to reorganise the armed services and end National Service training from January. The plan aims to boost equipment and manpower, standardise forces with a pentomic Army structure, and considers naval and air force expansions including Bloodhound missiles and new aircraft. Budget projections rise toward 210 million annually with continued NST for CMF until June 30.
