Ethiopian regime executes 61 former officials in purge
The Supreme Military Council announced on Radio Ethiopia that 61 ex ministers and officials were executed last night amid charges of corruption and maladministration. Included were former prime ministers Aklilu Habte-Wold and Endalkachew Makonnen, and Aman Andom who had been under house arrest. Others linked to the Walle famine and media suppression were named. some executed, some to face military trials. Families were told not to seek bodies. Haile Selassie remains in army custody.

The War Memorial society restored a Pfalz D XII aircraft, recording over six years and 2.6 man hours of work. Reproduction includes hand painting and signage from 1918 factory mis-spellings, with wings camouflaged in lazo pattern and new fabric stretched over the airframe.
