He began as an operator at London's Alhambra Theatre around 1400, and his 1900s work includes early Royal Photographic Society gazetted footage. He toured Australia with King George VI and Jake York filming moving pictures for parliamentary openings.
Mr Orrett describes three annual film nights on Monday Wednesday and Saturday with no matinee for children. The opening program includes The Lieutenants Cravat and related films. One weekly dance night is planned, likely Friday, with the theatre available for visiting companies concerts and amateur drama on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

The National Mining Company, an English syndicate, has spent £24420 on development at the Captain's Flat Sake George Mines and plans to place the mine on a pound haul early next year.
