Chinese forces are reported to have captured a pivotal post in Northern Ladakh near an airfield at Daudat Bezaldi. The move is described as giving China control over the area and extending into adjacent regions.
Defence Ministry spokesman said he was not sure if Chinese troops occupy the post near Karakoram Pass as Indian forces maneuver for better defensive positions. Indian troops exchange fire near Walong on the frontier, with reports of recaptured hamle vis ar Tawang in the north. Nehru, responding, affirmed India will not speak with China until it withdraws to pre hostilities lines.
