The Camperdown production plant proved inadequate for chassis intake and bodies. Larke Hopkins Pty Ltd expanded with new premises at Riley Street and Homebush, moving divisions as stock and demand grew. By 1967 Larke Hopkins increased new vehicle sales by 61 percent and expanded BMC market share across NSW and ACT.

December 1958 a pupil from North Sydney Boys High School leaves school to seek work. He joins Larke group, rising from junior roles in sales to Sales Director by 1966 and then managing director of Larke Jorms Pty Ltd after 19 years with the group. Under his leadership, Larke Hoskins expands market share and those years show a meteoric rise in Australian business. He tours Britain and Europe in marketing study as part of his duties.
