Experts Study Tuna Fishing Project in Australia
The Minister for Primary Industry announced a team of fisheries experts would visit Japan, Hawaii and Samoa to assess the technical and economic viability of introducing long-line tuna fishing to Australia. Construction men meet in Canberra for industry conference

Building Training Conference Opens
Dr. PL H Cook of an De partment of Labour and National Service, representatives of the employers, union representatives and state authorities attended. Mr. McMahon said the conference followed last year’s discussions on training for skill in engineering and electrical trades. The building industry discussions were exploratory with its own problems. A tripartite work party was appointed to study training issues, and held its first meeting yesterday.
