A 24 year old Canberra mother of three, Frances Emerta Kirkland of Wandoo Street OConnor, died Saturday at 11 30 am from injuries after a Friday night motorcycle crash in Boldrewood Street Turner. Passenger Raymond Hartnell of Capital Hill Hostel is hospitalized with facial lacerations and fractured ribs. Funeral announced to depart Reid Methodist Church after a 2 pm service today.

Pilot McMahon Dies After Plane Crashes Near Casino

Lawrence William McMahon, 28, of Casino, was killed when his Chipmunk plane struck a tree and tangled in live power lines while attempting to avoid five children watching from the Hollis residence at Piora near Casino. He had waved to the children moments before the crash.
