Murder Victim Cremated After Short Church Service
The Rev John Jayton conducted a service for Mrs Chandler with fewer than 12 mourners at Hunter's Hill. No funeral cortege went to the Crematorium. Geoffrey Chandler arrived with two men, entered the chapel, and left in a friend's car after a service under 15 minutes. Coroner Loomes told police to inform Chandler the body could be moved. Mrs Chandler and Dr Gilbert Bogle were found dead by Lane Cove River on New Year's Day. cause of death unknown.
