Rebels Claim North Celebes Town Taken

Protection for Australians in Indonesia under government authority

The Australian Government says it has given the fullest authority to act to protect Australians and Australian property in Indonesia during the current threat. 269 Australians are in Indonesia with 180 in Jakarta and 17 at a central Sumatra oil centre. Freak Cloud Over Jersey Darkens Island Parliament

A freak cloud blackout left Jersey in darkness yesterday with the island’s Parliament unable to speak aloud as Senators named themselves in the dark.
