Ford Falcon XT range previewed with grille and rear-end styling
Melbourne motoring writers previewed the Ford Falcon range including Fairmont and Fairlane models. New styling features include a redesigned grille and rear end with updated tail lights, larger more powerful engines, and two sixes plus a V8. Transmission options include manual synchronised gears and two automatics Fordomatic and Cruise-O-Matic. Safety upgrades, laminated windscreens optional, and larger 695 by 14 tyres with optional 185 by 14. The XT model leads standard sedan and wagon, with Falcon S00 variants and utility/panel vans, while Fairmont remains available in sedan and station wagon.
