SYDNEY Friday A 20yearold youth had his right foot amputated by fence wire in a freak road accident at Peakhurst tonight. The youth Barry George Thomson of Henry Lawson Drive Peakhurst walked behind a car traveling at 25 mph in Park Street Peakhurst. Fencing wire attached to the near side right wheel wound around his right ankle and pulled him off his feet. The driver slowed and stopped after feeling the wire drag. He found Thomson unconscious at the rear of the car and the youth was taken to St George Hospital Kogarah where he was admitted in satisfactory condition.
